White rum : 60 ml
Pineapple juice : 90 ml
Cream of coconut (e.g., Coco López) : 45–60 ml
Garnish :Pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry or grated nutmeg (optional)
Blender (for frozen) or shaker (for shaken version)

Add 60 ml white rum, 90 ml pineapple juice and 45–60 ml cream of coconut into a blender with a generous scoop of ice.
Blend on high until smooth and slushy.
Pour into a chilled hurricane glass.
Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry; grate a little nutmeg if desired.
Serve with a straw — rich, creamy and tropically sweet.
(If you prefer a shaken version: shake the liquid ingredients with ice, strain over crushed ice.)
