Gin : 60 ml
Dry vermouth : 5–10 ml adjust to taste
Garnish :Lemon twist or 1–2 olives on a pick

Glassware :Chilled martini or coupe glass
Chill the martini glass in the freezer or by filling with ice and water.
Fill a mixing glass with ice and pour 60 ml gin and 5–10 ml dry vermouth (use less vermouth for drier).
Stir gently for about 25–30 seconds until very cold and slightly diluted.
Discard the ice/water from the chilled glass and strain the cocktail into it.
Express a lemon twist over the surface to release oils, or garnish with 1–2 olives on a pick.
Serve immediately — adjust vermouth next time to your preferred dryness.
