Add 30 ml gin, 15 ml fresh lemon juice and 15 ml simple syrup into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake briefly but thoroughly (about 8–10 seconds) until well chilled.
Strain the chilled mixture into a chilled champagne flute.
Top slowly with about 90 ml chilled Champagne or sparkling wine to preserve bubbles.
Express a lemon twist over the surface and drop it into the flute.
Serve immediately — light, effervescent and citrus-forward.
