Hanky Panky
A lesser-known classic with a punchy herbal twist, the Hanky Panky was created by a famed bartender of the early cocktail era and remains a cult favorite for those who like a Fernet accent. It’s a good example of bartending creativity from the pre-Prohibition and interwar periods.

Ingredients
Gin : 45 ml
Sweet vermouth : 45 ml
Fernet-Branca : 5 ml use sparingly
Garnish :Orange twist

Steps
Fill a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
Add 45 ml gin and 45 ml sweet vermouth to the mixing glass.
Measure and add about 5 ml Fernet-Branca (small amount — very potent).
Stir gently for 25–30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.
Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
Express an orange twist over the top, rub it on the rim, and drop it into the drink.
