Add 45 ml gin, 30 ml fresh lemon juice and 15 ml simple syrup into a shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
Top with soda water (about 60–90 ml) and stir gently once to combine.
Allow a small foam head to form if present for texture.
Garnish with a lemon slice and serve immediately.
