Rye or bourbon : 50 ml

Averna (or other amaro) : 25 ml

Angostura bitters : 2 dash es

Garnish :Cherry or orange twist

Fill mixing glass with ice.

Add bourbon, Averna, and bitters.

Stir 20–30 sec until chilled.

Strain into chilled coupe glass.

Garnish with cherry or twist.
